Sloane’s Roses wrote its next grant, providing assistance to the family of Matthew Navarro.

Matthew, who was only 4 years old, became sick with the flu and pneumonia. Despite getting the best possible care at CHOP, Matthew passed away tragically last week. We express our deepest condolences to Matthew’s family and ask you to keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Because of your support, Sloane’s Roses was able to pay Matthew’s funeral expenses and to provide additional financial assistance to his grieving family. We know better than most that this cannot heal their pain, but we are honored to be able to alleviate the added financial stress that accompanies such a loss. Matthew’s aunt called the grant a miracle from God. We like to believe it was a miracle from Sloane.
